No Fault Divorce – What do we know and how will it change the divorce landscape?

Current divorce law means married couples can only petition for divorce if they can prove their marriage has irretrievably broken down and one of five facts of: adultery; behavior; 2 years separation; 5 years separation; or desertion applies. Unless a couple is relying on separation, an element of blame must be put on one party to the divorce. This can add unnecessary animosity and costs to an already difficult situation. Under new legislation, the fault elements will be removed. A welcome change for many.

Legal Secretary / Administrator

We have two vacancies for  Legal Secretary / Receptionist working on a Part Time basis 2/3 days per week at our office opening at 24 Wilson Street, Workington, CA14 4AZ.

The main duties will include secretarial work, reception and administrative duties with some responsibility for preparation of straightforward legal documents under supervision.  Experience in family law would be preferable  but training is available for the right candidate. These are part time roles, hours and days are flexible.  Salary competitive.
